Trainee attorney at the Disctrict Bar Association in Krakow, Jerzy Mazur graduated with law degree (LLM) from the University of Wrocław. He also received master's degree in history from the Jagiellonian University, and a doctorate (PhD) in the field of Middle Eastern and Jewish studies at the oldest Jewish university in the United States - Brandeis University in Boston. In 2004-2011 he served as Assistant Professor at several universities in Maryland and New York, and in 2011-2012 worked as a senior analyst in the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) department in State Street Bank. From 2013 until 2016 he conducted research in the programmes funded by the European Research Council (ERC), focusing on legal and archival history at the Université de Nantes and the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris (France). Since 2016 he has been working as a legal specialist and negotiator of legal framework agreements such as ISDA, GMRA, MSFTA (derivative contracts) for investment banks and smaller companies. Recently he has been involved in advising clients on European regulation applicable to derivatives market. He speaks English, French, Hebrew, German and Russian. |
